James Daria

James Daria (M.Ed., MA) is a doctoral candidate in cultural anthropology at the University of Oregon. His research is on transnational processes between Mexico and the United States with a particular emphasis on migration and popular culture. James works with migrant sending communities throughout Mexico and immigrant communities in the United States. In Oregon he promotes son jarocho and fandango as a way to unite immigrant and nonimmigrant communities through music and dance.
