Jessica Jacobs

Dr Jessica Jacobs is a geographer whose work focuses on how heritage tourism to the Middle East constructs identities. Her work focuses on how heritage is visualized, remembered and enacted through the production of tourist space. Her research methods and outputs use filmmaking, handicrafts and other arts-based activities to create maps. These maps along with other community focused strategies aim to engage a wider audience within the scope of academic research and knowledge production. Her current projects include producing a community map in southern Jordan and using fabric and film to formulate housing policies in London.
