JESSIE DANIELS

Jessie Daniels is associate professor of urban public health at Hunter College and the CUNY-Graduate Center. She also is senior fellow at the Center for Health, Media and Policy at Hunter College. She is author of White Lies (Routledge, 1997) and Cyber Racism (Rowman and Littlefield, 2009), two books about race and various forms of media. Her current research looks at propaganda in the digital era, and race, feminism, and blogging. Her particular interest is in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered youth, their use of technology, and how that use relates to health.
