John R. Davis

John R. Davis is the performing arts metadata archivist in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library at the University of Maryland. He is a certified archivist and has also curated or co-curated exhibits at the University of Maryland and at Lost Origins Gallery in Washington, DC. He has written a chapter for the next volume in Intellect’s Global Punk series and is currently writing a monograph on the history of DC punk fanzines for Georgetown University Press. His articles have appeared in Notes (the journal for the Music Library Association), The Washington Post and NPR.
