Julien Labia

Julien Labia teaches philosophy at the Burgundy School of Applied Arts. His current research affiliation is the University Sorbonne-Nouvelle (Paris). He has been a temporary assistant lecturer at Paris-Sorbonne University and had postdoctoral fellowships from Humboldt University Berlin and University Sorbonne-Nouvelle. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at Paris-Sorbonne. He has translated books from German and from Italian and has published several articles or book chapters on philosophy of music and on world music. He is co-director with Antonia Soulez of the Musique & Philosophie book series of French publisher Delatour. He has created and continues to animate Philo-Musique education programme in the new Philharmonie de Paris.
