Dr Katja Krebs is associate professor in theatre and performance studies at the University of Bristol. Her research interests lie with the disentangling of the relationship between translation and adaptation as well as adaptation and popular performance. She has co-edited the Routledge Companion to Adaptation (Routledge, 2018) and has published widely on adaptation and translation, most recently on ‘Adaptation and related modalities’ for Adapting Greek Tragedy (Cambridge University Press, 2021). She co-founded the Journal of Adaptation in Film & Performance with Prof. Richard Hand in 2007 and is very happy to return as a contributor.
