Kimberly Kattari

Kim Kattari is an assistant professor of ethnomusicology in the Department of Performance Studies at Texas A&M University. She has conducted ethnographic research on the psychobilly and rockabilly communities for more than ten years. Her work has been published in Volume: The Popular Music Journal, and her book, Psychobilly: Subcultural Survival, is due out this year (with Temple University Press). She teaches courses on popular music, subcultural studies and the relationship between altered states and performance.
