Kodi Maier

Mx Kodi Maier is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Hull. Their thesis, ‘Dream big, little princess: Interrogating the Disney Princess franchise from 2000 to the present day’, focuses on the history and impact of the Disney Princess franchise, especially as it pertains to the development of female gender roles in the United States. Other recent projects include organizing ‘Queer/ing Animation’, a one-day symposium on the intersections between queerness, queer identity and animation and ‘Camping outside the Magic Kingdom’s gates: The power of Femslash in the Disney fandom’, an article that appeared in the MeCCSA journal, Networking Knowledge.
