Kristina Fiedrich
A practicing artist and scholar, Kristina Fiedrich earned a BFA is studio art (TRU, 2005), an MFA in visual art (ECUAD, 2012) and an MA in Comparative Media Arts (SFU, 2015). Fiedrich was awarded the CIHR Graduate Student Award (2011), and the SSHRC Graduate Scholarship (2015) for her ongoing research about the mediation of life via technological means. Alongside her art practice, Fiedrich is the Continuing Studies program coordinator for Design + Media, and was a founding member of the Journal of Comparative Media Arts. This research paper was funded in part by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the British Columbia Arts Council.
