Lorenzo Fabbri
Lorenzo Fabbri is an assistant professor of Italian and moving images studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His research is situated at the intersection of Italian film history, media studies and critical theory. Fabbri’s work on the relation between audio-visual forms and social formations has been featured in venues such as Screen, MLN, diacritics, Senses of Cinema, Critical Inquiry, The Italianist and Radical Philosophy Review. With Ramsey McGlazer he is the general co-editor of Italian Culture, the journal of the American Association for Italian Studies. After publishing his first monograph The Domestication of Derrida in 2008 (Bloomsbury), Fabbri is now completing Capturing the Nation: Cinema, Fascism, and Resistance – a study of the biopolitical dimension of cinema under fascism.
