Mads Larsen

Mads Larsen is a Ph.D. student at University of California, Los Angeles. He has an MFA in screenwriting from the same university. His dissertation ‘Stories that shaped Scandinavia: Evolution toward social democracy in a millennium of Nordic fiction’ examines influential literature and adaptations to (1) explain the origins of Nordic egalitarianism, (2) argue for the adaptive functions of fiction and (3) suggest how fiction can help us adapt to disruptions from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Larsen’s research has been accepted for publication in nine journals.
