Maite Usoz de la Fuente

Maite Usoz de la Fuente completed her Ph.D. on the magazine La Luna de Madrid and La Movida at King’s College London in 2013. Her thesis was awarded the Annual Publication Prize of the Association of Hispanists of Great Britain and Ireland and was published in revised form in 2015 under the title Urban Space, Identity and Postmodernity in 1980s Spain. Since January 2016, Maite has worked as lecturer in Spanish studies at the University of Leicester, where she teaches on twentieth-century and contemporary Spanish literature and culture. Her current research interests include contemporary women’s writing in Spain and cultural responses to the 2008 crisis.
