Mike Ingham

Mike Ingham is adjunct professor in the Department of English at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, having previously worked at Lingnan University and The Education University in the same city. His research interests include theatre and film, particularly intertextuality and intermediality. His publications include: Hong Kong: A Cultural History (Oxford University Press, 2007); Johnnie To’s PTU in The New Hong Kong Cinema series (Hong Kong University Press, 2009); Hong Kong Documentary Film (co-authored with Ian Aitken) (Edinburgh University Press, 2014); ‘Beyond Asian? Beyond cinema? Intermediality, the performative and the cosmopolitan in the documentary films of Evans Chan’ (Asian Cinema, 2015); Stage-Play and Screenplay: The Intermediality of Theatre and Cinema (Routledge, 2017) and The Intertextuality and Intermediality of the Anglophone Popular Song (Cambridge Scholars, 2022).
