Mike Sanders

Mike Sanders is a senior lecturer in nineteenth-century writing at the University of Manchester. He has a long-standing interest in working-class culture and is the author of The Poetry of Charitism: Aesthetics, Politics, History (CUP, 2009). He is currently part of the AHRC-funded (Arts and Humanities Research Council) Piston, Pen & Press project exploring literary culture and the industrial workplace between 1840 and 1918. He prefers crooked roads.
