Mrinalini Rajagopalan

Mrinalini Rajagopalan is Assistant Professor in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh. She is an architectural historian of South Asia whose research focuses on topics such as the history of preservation, urban memory and the colonial and postcolonial framings of architecture. Her first monograph, Building Histories: The Archival and Affective Lives of Five Monuments in Modern Delhi, is forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press. She is also the co-editor of Colonial Frames, Nationalist Histories: Imperial Legacies, Architecture, and Modernity (Ashgate, 2012).
