Nina Janich
Professor Dr Nina Janich (1968) completed a Ph.D. in German Studies, Modern and Recent History and Philosophy (1997) and Habilitation in German Linguistics (2003), both at the Universität Regensburg, Germany. Since 2004, she is a Professor of German Linguistics at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. She is a Full Member of the Scientific Society of Goethe University Frankfurt/Main and of the National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech), Germany. Her main interests are language of advertising/business communication, science communication/knowledge transfer/language for special purposes, culture of language/critical linguistics/language policy and politics, discourse and text analysis, multimodality.
