Parisa Farhadi

Parisa Farhadi is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Journalism and Media Communication, Colorado State University. Her main areas of research include human-robot interaction, cultural studies and political communication. She attempts to reveal the significance of the perceived existential status of social robots from the users’ perspective and investigates how social robots come to real presence and produce the experience of social presence for human users. She got her BS in Cellular Molecular Biology from the University of Shiraz, Iran. Farhadi earned her first MA in Communications Sciences from the Department of Communication at Allame Tabatabai University in Tehran, Iran. She got her second MA in Communication Technology with a focus on human–robot interaction.
