Paul Fagan

Paul Fagan is a Senior Scientist at the University of Salzburg. He is a co-founder of the University of Vienna Irish Studies and Cultural Theories Summer School, the International Flann O’Brien Society, and The Parish Review: Journal of Flann O’Brien Studies, which is published by the Open Library of Humanities. Fagan is the co-editor of Flann O’Brien: Contesting Legacies (Cork University Press, 2014), Flann O’Brien: Problems with Authority (Cork University Press, 2017) and Flann O’Brien: Gallows Humour (Cork University Press, 2020). He has published widely on Irish studies, modernism, transmediality and the nonhuman studies and is currently completing a monograph on the Irish literary hoax.
