Paul Fleet
Paul Fleet (Newcastle University) is a Deputy Head and Senior Lecturer at the School of Arts and Cultures at Newcastle University, United Kingdom. His research interests include Music Theory and Analysis, Popular Musics, Music at the turn of the Twentieth Century, Ferruccio Busoni, and Teaching and Learning Strategies. His most recent publications include: ‘“I’ve heard there was a secret chord”: Do we need to teach music notation in UK Popular Music Studies?’, in G. Smith, Z. Moir, M. Brennan, S. Rambarran, and P. Paul is also an academic advisor to qualification awarding bodies at FE and HE level, and is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Fellow of the RSA.
