Per Gunnar Eeg-Tverbakk

Per Gunnar Eeg-Tverbakk is director of Kunsthall Oslo. He was research fellow at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts in the period October 2005 until October 2009. Eeg-Tverbakk is educated as an artist from the Art Academy in Bergen (1989−1993) and Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg (1992). He has had a lot of experience as a freelance curator. During 1995−1998 he was the head of the independent art-space Galleri Otto Plonk in Bergen. In 1999 he worked as exhibition coordinator for NIFCA (Nordic Institute of Contemporary Art) in Helsinki. In the period 2000−2001 Eeg-Tverbakk was the managing director of Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo. Together with Caroline Corbetta he curated the Nordic Biennale ‘Momentum 04’. During 2003−2005 Eeg-Tverbakk ran the international site specific art project ‘Artistic Interruptions’ in Nordland, Norway.
