Pete Dale

Pete Dale is a musician, researcher, former school teacher and music educationist. He has taught in a number of schools and has held academic posts at Oxford Brookes, Manchester Metropolitan and, currently, the University of York. His punk-related research includes the monograph Anyone Can Do It: Empowerment, Tradition and the Punk Underground (Ashgate, 2012) and numerous journal articles and chapters in academic books. He is currently preparing a punk-related monograph on the emergence of indie as a genre during the 1980s.
