Piero Garofalo

Piero Garofalo is full professor of Italian studies at the University of New Hampshire. His primary areas of research are modern and contemporary Italian culture, politics and society. He is the co-author, with Elizabeth Leake and Dana Renga, of Internal Exile in Fascist Italy: History and Representations of Confino (Manchester University Press, 2019) and, with Daniela Selisca, of Ciak… si parla Italiano (Focus, 2005), and the co-editor, with Jacqueline Reich, of Re-viewing Fascism: Italian Cinema, 1922–1943 (Indiana University Press, 2002). He serves on the editorial board and as book review editor for the journal Quaderni d’Italianistica.
