Robert Garnett

Robert Garnett is a London-based independent researcher, writer and critic. Since the mid-1990s, he has published criticism in a wide variety of magazines and journals both in the United Kingdom and internationally, his theoretical work has appeared in a number of edited volumes and theoretical journals. His recent research has been on the question of humour vs. irony in art since the 1960s. His most recent essay on this theme was published in the volume, Painting: The Funny-Peculiar edited by Andrew Hunt and published by Slimvolume in 2021.
