Roberto Fabbri

Roberto Fabbri, architect and academic, was a consultant for the United Nations Development Program for the rehabilitation and installation of the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah’s galleries (2010–16), and visiting researcher at the Center for Gulf Studies (2012–14) in Kuwait. His project for the restoration of the Amricani Cultural Centre was a 2012 Aga Khan Award for Architecture nominee. Professor at the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM), he previously taught at the Università di Bologna and the American University of Kuwait. He has published extensively in architectural journals and magazines, authored two books on Max Bill’s architectural work, and co-authored the double volume Modern Architecture Kuwait 1949–1989 (Niggli, 2015 and 2017).
