Rowan Page

Dr Rowan Page (Ph.D.) is a lecturer at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is interested in the contribution of design research and practice to the translational development of medical devices. His research interests include co-design, speculative design, digital fabrication, emerging technologies in design, and the function of designed artefacts as boundary objects within collaborative and interdisciplinary design projects. Rowan’s practice-based Ph.D. research explored the human factors and user experience design of cochlear implant systems, leading to two manufactured devices and two patents. Working in interdisciplinary contexts, his current research contributes to the commercialization of several medical technologies developed at Monash University.
