Serena Parisi

Serena Parisi holds a Ph.D. in literary studies from the University of Salerno, Italy. Her doctoral thesis focuses on filmic Shakespeare in relation to contemporary cultural, social and political issues. Her publications include ‘Exile as a creative choice: Transnationalism and liminality in Orson Welles’s Chimes at Midnight’ in Ciompi and Giovannelli’s edited volume Worlds of Words: Complexity, Creativity, and Conventionality in English Language, Literature and Culture (2019) and ‘Che Cosa Sono le Nuvole?: Filmic appropriation and the rediscovery of material reality’ in the international journal Textus: English Studies in Italy (2018). She also works for the publishing house Odoya as a translator.
