Shabnam Rahimi-Golkhandan

Shabnam Rahimi-Golkhandan is a doctoral candidate in Yale University’s department of art history. Her research interests include the arts of the nineteenth- and twentieth-century Middle East, particularly its evolution of painting and its early photography. Her dissertation, entitled ‘On Verisimilitude: Painting and Photography’s Claim to Present’, reconstructs the nineteenth-century ethos of pictorial creativity of Iran.
