Sonia Fizek
Dr Sonia Fizek is a digital games and media scholar. She holds a lectureship position in game studies and design in the School of Informatics and Design at Abertay University in Dundee. She is an active member of the research community as an associate editor of the Journal of Gaming & Virtual Worlds, and a board member for multiple initiatives and journals, such as Digital Games Research Association (British DiGRA), Digital Culture and Society Journal, Replay, The Polish Journal of Game Studies, and Journal of the Philosophy of Games. Her current research explores questions of control and agency in video games, with a particular focus on automated and self-acting playful systems.
