Stephen Farthing
Stephen Farthing studied painting at St. Martins School of Art, Royal College of Art, British School at Rome. Between 1990 and 2017 he held academic posts at Ruskin Master of Drawing, University of Oxford, Executive Director, New York Academy of Art, New York, NY, Rootstein Hopkins Chair of Drawing at University of the Arts, London. In 1998, he was elected Royal Academician, and in 2000 was elected Emeritus Fellow of St. Edmund Hall, University of Oxford. His recent books include: On Colour (Yale), Leonardo: The Corpus (RA Publishing) and Derek Jarman, the Sketchbooks (T&H).
