Susan Hogan

Susan Hogan is a professor of arts and health, University of Derby, and a professional fellow of the Institute of Mental Health at the University of Nottingham, England. She is a prolific author whose books include Healing Arts: The History of Art Therapy (2001), Revisiting Feminist Approaches to Art Therapy (2012), Art Therapy Theories: A Critical Introduction (2016) and Therapeutic Arts in Pregnancy, Birth and New Parenthood (2020). She has also written on visual research methods. Having trained in visual research methods, art therapy, cultural and art history, fine art and film, she has a multidisciplinary outlook and an interest in interdisciplinary approaches.
