Toni-Matti Karjalainen
Dr Toni-Matti Karjalainen is recently appointed as professor of Arts Management at Sibelius Academy at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland. He is also docent of Music Management and Culture Export at Aalto University School of Business, in Espoo, where he previously worked as Academy Research Fellow and Research Manager and where his part of this article was written. His research topics range from design management to heavy metal music, the latter concerning music exports, visual communication, cultural narratives, global fandom and creative management.
