Yanshuo Zhang

Yanshuo Zhang is currently a lecturer/fellow in the program in writing and rhetoric at Stanford University, USA. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chinese literature and culture at Stanford University in 2018. Her research focuses on the invention and transformation of cultural heritage in China, particularly ethnic minority heritage/identities and urban heritage. Her other article on Chinese urbanism, ‘Negotiating authenticity in China’s urban historic preservations: The case of the Kuan and Zhai Alleys in Chengdu’, appeared in the journal Heritage and Society in 2019.
