Yiannis Laouris
Yiannis Laouris, Ph.D., is Director of Cyber Ethics, Cyprus Safer Internet Centre, and Senior Scientist at Cyprus Neuroscience-Technology Institute. He is a medical doctor and a systems engineer with over fifteen years of research in neurophysiology in Germany and United States. During the past two decades, he refocused his interests in the integration of IT in children's education and the application of broadband technologies as tools to bridge the digital, economic, educational and inter-personal divides in our planet. Laouris has over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 20 chapters and over 130 conference papers in neuroscience, applied systems science, peace and IT children-learning.
