Gilad Padva
Gilad Padva is a film, media and sexuality scholar. He is the author of Queer Nostalgia in Cinema and Pop Culture (2014) and co-editor of the edited volume Sensational Pleasures in Cinema, Literature and Visual Culture: The Phallic Eye (2014). Dr Padva publishes in peer-reviewed journals (Cinema Journal, Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, Journal of Modern Jewish Studies, etc.) and edited volumes (Queering the Popular Pitch, Cinematic Queerness: Gay and Lesbian Hypervisibility in Contemporary Francophone Feature Films, Israeli Cinema: Identities in Motion, Handbook of Critical Theory, etc.), and he contributes entries for international encyclopedias (Routledge International Encyclopedia of Queer Culture: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transsexual Contemporary Cultures, Routledge International Encyclopedia of Men and Masculinities, etc.). He currently works for the Faculty of Social and Cultural Studies at Beit Berl College in Israel.
