Jessica Schwartz
Jessica Schwartz, associate professor of musicology at UCLA, approaches musical representations and sonic histories of militarization and imperial violence, affective alliances, and creative dissent through historical, ethnographic, and theoretical methods. Her published work appears in The Oxford Handbook of Music and Disability Studies (Oxford University Press, 2015), Music and Politics, American Quarterly, Women & Music and Punk and Post Punk. Her monograph, Radiation Sounds: Marshallese Music and Nuclear Silences, is forthcoming with Duke University Press.
