Susanne Østby Sæther
Susanne Østby Sæther is senior curator of photography and new media at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, where she oversees the exhibition programme in photography. Sæther holds a Ph.D. in media aesthetics from the University of Oslo (UiO) and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at IKKM at Bauhaus Universität and at UiO. She is presently participating in several research projects and networks, including PHOTOFAKE: Visual Disinformation, the Digital Economy and the Epistemology of the Camera Image and Visualizing the Deep Sea in the Age of Climate Change, both funded by the Norwegian Research Council. Recent publications include Screen Space Reconfigured, edited with Synne T. Bull (Amsterdam University Press, 2020), Why Photography?, co-edited (Skira Editore, 2020), and New Visions (Mousse Publishing, 2023).
