Adriana Páramo Pérez
Adriana Páramo Pérez was born in Galicia, Spain. She is a filmmaker who has directed two internationally awarded short films and has more than five years’ experience producing corporate, branded and indie films. She is also the co-founder of the Galician Film Forum, an organization that shows films from Galicia in the United Kingdom. She is doing a practice-based Ph.D. on documentary and gender at Royal Holloway University. Her first year project ‘The Stronger Experiment’, exploring how patriarchal structures affect the characters seen on the screen, was presented as a four-video channel installation at the Los Angeles Film and Video Poetry Symposium (2020). She is now working on her thesis project exploring how to subvert the social construct of the pregnant experience on the screen.
