Agnieszka Rasmus
Dr Agnieszka Rasmus is assistant professor in the Institute of English Studies at the University of Łódź. Her research interests include film adaptation, British cinema, Hollywood and new media. She is author of Filming Shakespeare, from Metatheatre to Metacinema (Peter Lang, 2008) and Hollywood Remakes of Iconic British Films: Class, Gender and Stardom (EUP, forthcoming), and co-editor with Magdalena Cieślak of Images of the City (CSP, 2009), Against and Beyond: Subversion and Transgression in Mass Media, Popular Culture and Performance (CSP, 2012) and of the Special Issue of Multicultural Shakespeare: Translation, Appropriation and Performance, vol. 12 (27) ‘Diversity and Homogeneity: Shakespeare and the Politics of Nation, Class and Gender’ (Łódź University Press, 2015).
