Annette Davies

Annette Davies received her undergraduate degrees in media studies and communication from Pace University and her Ph.D. in communication from Regent University. Prior to entering academia, she was a writer and executive producer at several award-winning production studios, most notably the globally renowned nonprofit organization the March of Dimes. She has been teaching media studies and communication courses at various colleges and universities for over a decade. Outside her work in academia, she also serves as a freelance communication consultant, content writer and public relations specialist with clients in various industries including banking and finance, nonfiction book publishing, healthcare, martial arts, government and nonprofit. Her research interests include celebrity influence, fandom, performance studies and media ecology.
