Bhekinkosi Jakobe Ncube

Bhekinkosi Jakobe Ncube is a global excellence stature postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research interests include identity politics, community media, ethnic minority media, social media, disinformation and the implications of computational journalism. He recently published a chapter in the book The Politics of Laughter in the Social Media Age: Perspectives from the Global South (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021). His Ph.D. was on the online constructions and contestations of ethnic identities. Bhekinkosi is also a journalism and media studies lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe.
