Briley Rasmussen

Briley Rasmussen is a museum scholar, educator and consultant. Her research explores the history of education practices in art museums, centring on the intersections of art history, museum history, museum education and artistic practice. Previously, she was assistant professor of museum education and museum studies at University of Texas at Austin and the director of the graduate programme in museum studies at the University of Florida. She has over fifteen years of experience in museum education, including positions at the Getty Museum and LACMA. She holds a Ph.D. in museum studies from the University of Leicester and an M.S.Ed. in leadership in museum education from Bank Street College of Education.
