Carolyn Watt
Carolyn Watt is a professional circus/cabaret performer and a Ph.D. candidate (November 2016–October 2019) and lecturer in visual culture in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) at the University of Portsmouth. Her practice-based research explores a group of young women’s experiences of learning aerial circus skills integrated with training in digital media technologies. Other experience includes founding a successful events company, costume design work and professional performance including aerial silks, aerial hoop and contortion.
