Chelsea Taylor

Chelsea Taylor is a Ph.D. candidate in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. in theatre and drama (IPTD) programme at Northwestern University. Her current research explores how adaptations of Bible stories at contemporary Christian tourist destinations across the United States function as immersive preaching techniques while making extra-biblical political claims regarding twenty-first-century American life. Her work has been supported by the Franke Graduate fellowship, the Mellon Interdisciplinary Cluster fellowship and the Buffet Travel grant. She also holds a MA in theatre studies and dramaturgy from the University of Houston and a BA in theatre and English from Trinity University.
