Daniel García-Donoso

Dr García-Donoso’s main research interests lie in the field of cultural production and intellectual history of modern and contemporary Spain. His book Escrituras post-seculares (Biblioteca Nueva, 2018) argues that, far from being increasingly marginal, religion and religious questions lie at the heart of an extensive corpus of narrative fiction in Spain and constitute a fundamental expression of a post-secular culture. He has also co-edited a volume titled The Sacred and Modernity in Urban Spain: Beyond the Secular City (Palgrave, 2016). His research has appeared in journals such as Romance Studies, Revista de Estudios Hispánicos and Afro-Hispanic Review.
