Diana Q. Palardy

Diana Q. Palardy is a full professor of Spanish at Youngstown State University who published her book The Dystopian Imagination in Contemporary Spanish Literature and Film with the Hispanic Urban Studies Series of Palgrave Macmillan in 2018. Among her other publications are articles in Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies, Romance Notes and Revista Chilena de Literatura. Her research interests include contemporary Spanish literature and film, dystopia/utopia, urban cultural studies, immigration and contemporary social movements. She created the website Distopías de España and is in the process of creating a new website, España especulativa, which is a collaborative project that involves researchers from the United States and Spain. She is a member of the international research group Histopía and is the secretary and archivist of the Society for Utopian Studies.
