Elin Karlsson
Elin Karlsson received a bachelor's degree in media arts from the University for the Creative Arts in 2012 and went on to receive an MA in photography from the University of Brighton in 2013. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of the Arts London, completing practice-based research working predominantly in writing and sculpture. She is an arts associate of the British School at Athens. Elin’s work references themes of sexuality, violence, humour and domesticity – drawing on personal experiences and memories. She borrows signifiers from DIY and home improvement culture – including IKEA lamps, polyester sheets, timber and photo canvasses, stuff that we all recognize.
