Emma Dawson
Emma Dawson is executive director of Per Capita, an independent progressive think tank aimed at reducing inequality in Australia. She was a senior media policy adviser in the federal governments led by Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard. She writes regularly about public policy issues, for Guardian Australia, The Age and the Australian Financial Review, and appears on various ABC and commercial broadcast programmes nationally. She co-edited, with Professor Janet McCalman, the essay collection, What Happens Next? Reconstructing Australia after COVID-19, published by Melbourne University Press in 2020.
