Fernando Galicia Poblet
Fernando Galicia Poblet (Madrid, 1977), Ph.D. in history and science of music, and professor of guitar, music analyst (SGAE), music critic (Rock Hard, Rock Star, Red Hard N’ Heavy, Empire Magazine) and collaborator of the International University of Valencia (VIU). Fernando is the author of Inoxidable: Formación, cristalización y crecimiento del Heavy Metal en España, 1978–1985 (Apache Libros, 2017), Espíritus Rebeldes (SGAE, 2005) and Por el camino de baldosas amarillas (en la tierra de Oz): Conversaciones con Mago de Oz (Zona de Obras, 2004), co-author of Diccionario de Heavy Metal Latino: España y Latinoamérica (SGAE/Zona de Obras, 2005) and coordinator and co-author of Heavy -y- Metal. Vol. 1: A través del cristal. Nuevas perspectivas culturales (Apache Libros, 2019). He is the organizer of the academic conferences El Heavy Metal en España (2003–08, Universidad Complutense de Madrid), member of the International Society for Metal Music Studies (ISMMS) and founding member of the Colectivo para la Investigación y Acción desde el Metal de Habla Hispana (CIAMHH).
