Fran Garry

Dr Fran Garry is a singer/songwriter, community musician and arts practice researcher. She currently works as a postdoctoral researcher with the Health Research Institute, PART-IM (Participatory and Arts-Based Methods for Involving Migrants in Health Research) cluster, at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Fran’s Ph.D. (2018) research explored lived experiences in community arts in Ireland through the lens of her community music and performance practice. Her research interests include musical participation and wellbeing, community arts engagement, arts and cultural policy, and arts-based research methods. She was the editor for the 2020 edition of Transform: New Voices in Community Music.
