Gloria García González

Gloria García González has a degree in history and also in audio-visual communication from the Universidad de Salamanca. After receiving her Ph.D. in contemporary history with Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the Universidad de Salamanca, she became Professor at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, where she teaches and does research in the area of contemporary history and history of communication. She is the author of almost forty publications and a member of the Recognized Research Group ‘Historiography and Nationalism in Contemporary Spain’ led by Mariano Esteban de Vega, professor of contemporary history at the Universidad de Salamanca. She is currently participating in the research project ‘The role of the non-daily press in the Spanish Transition: Information, politics and parties (1975–1982)’ led by Jaume Guillamet Lloveras, professor of journalism at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
